Matt Baxter, Co-Owner of Nev’r Idle Farms, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in cattle and crop farming.

In his current position as co-owner of Nev’r Idle Farms, Mr. Baxter oversees the daily operations of the farm, including the finances. The farm boasts 2,100 acres of farmland, selling stone seeds, corn and soybeans. He has excelled in this capacity since 2007, and some of his show cattle have been named Grand Champions and National Champions. In addition, Mr. Baxter co-owns a trucking company with his father. Alongside his primary positions, he is a volunteer with the East-Central Illinois Christian School.

In preparation for his career, Mr. Baxter attended Parkland College, graduating in 2007 with an associate degree in agricultural business management. Since 2020, he has served as the vice president of the Illinois Milking Shorthorn Society. Since 2016, he has been an adjutant with Post 201 of the Sons of the American Legion. Mr. Baxter attributes his success to his grandfather and father for teaching him everything he knows about farming. As a fifth-generation farmer, he hopes to see his children become involved in agriculture to carry the family legacy.
