William Bew White III, Founder and Chairman of Summer Classics, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in luxury outdoor furniture and entrepreneurship.

Since 1987, Mr. White has found success as the founder and chairman of Summer Classics. The company has grown into the premier manufacturer of luxury outdoor furniture. In his capacity as the chairman, Mr. White is responsible for recognizing what products will sell and designing products.

Prior to his current position, Mr. White was the founder of the Vista Corporation. He also worked for Avondale Mills, a textile manufacturing organization. In 1979, Mr. White was the owner of a sales representative company, and alongside his primary positions, he has served as chairman of the board for Gabriella White LLC.

In preparation for his career, Mr. White earned a diploma from Darlington High School in 1968. He continued his education at Auburn University, graduating in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science in textile management and textile engineering. In his community, Mr. White has been affiliated with the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Mountain Brook, Alabama.

For his accomplishments, Mr. White has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades. He was named to the Academy of Achievement by the ARTS Awards in 2022 and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Casual Furnishings Association in 2021. In 2013, the Society of International Business Fellows named him Entrepreneur of the Year. Mr. White received an additional Lifetime Achievement Award for Manufacturers from The Dallas Market Center.

Mr. White is a member of the Redstone Club, the Mountain Brook Country Club, the Society of International Business Fellows and Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Among his achievements, he is proudest of writing his book, “A Summer Classic.” In the coming years, Mr. White hopes to achieve $500 million in sales and plans to travel more with his wife. In his spare time, he enjoys quail hunting and fishing.
