With years of experience to her credit, Ms. Walther has excelled as the co-owner of, and a chef with, Walthers Twin Tavern since 2016. In this position, she is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business, including cooking, creating menus, handling the finances, bookkeeping, liquor management and supervising the employees. Ms. Walther previously worked for Walther’s Café as a manager, hostess, waitress and bartender.
To support her professional ambitions, Ms. Walther pursued an education at Johnston and Wales University, initially earning an associate’s degree in culinary arts. She concluded her formal academic efforts at the aforementioned university in 2012, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and culinary arts. Drawn to her family business, Walther’s Café, which was established in 1914 and formerly operated by her father, Ms. Walther is proud to work alongside her twin sister, Tana, as well as their mother, Sharon.
Beyond her primary role within the field, Ms. Walther has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her immediate professional circles. A sponsor for North Canton High School as well as local golf, kickball and basketball teams, she has also contributed to the Young Men’s Christian Academy and the Domestic Violence Project as a volunteer. Ms. Walther has been additionally affiliated with the Tri-County Restaurant Association.
In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Walther was featured in Canton Repository in 2017. Moreover, Walthers Twin Tavern was celebrated for the Best Brunch in Stark County in 2022 and as Stark County’s Best Restaurant at the 2022 Feast Awards. Attributing her success to her hard work and adaptability, she is incredibly proud of her involvement in her community in addition to the inclusivity of her business for the members of her community. Looking toward the future, Ms. Walther hopes to expand the catering and banquet aspects of her business while possibly establishing a food truck business near the Professional Football Hall of Fame.
