Bolstered by more than 15 years of experience, Ms. Spring is a proven expert in the behavioral and mental health care fields. Specializing in the treatment and research of PTSD since 2016, Erica owns and operates Spring Services LP. Ms. Spring offers a variety of specialized therapeutic services for a wide range of clientele, with a teletherapy focus to expand access and lower costs of mental healthcare. Ms. Spring is trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy), ABA (applied behavioral analysis), as well as cognitive and dialectical behavior therapies. She is an eclectic, energetic therapist with a passion for serving the public and impoverished communities.
In her civically driven endeavors, Ms. Spring founded and owns Pam’s Place Inc., a not-for-profit created in 2021 to support licensed clinicians, therapists, social workers and other mental health providers who are struggling with burnout, compassion fatigue, vicarious and secondary trauma, suicidal ideation and substance abuse in a private, respectful space. She hopes to continue to expand Pam’s Place to allow servants in the healing arts to have a place of their own to heal. Ms. Spring is also very active with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and has raised money in her daughter’s honor since 2016 to find a cure. Ms. Spring is an honored participant as a research cohort in the federally funded Strong Star Initiative, a program dedicated to helping veterans and their families recover from PTSD.
In 2005, Ms. Spring earned a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia where she was an honors student and member of the prestigious Phi Sigma Pi Honor Fraternity. Ms. Spring earned her Master of Education at Lincoln University in 2008 with a degree in Agency Counseling and Psychology. Upon finishing her formal education, Ms. Spring continues to feed her appetite for academia and earning new specializations.
Ms. Spring is a published writer, having written and produced radio news for both KBIA and KJLU. She is also a passionate obituarist and poet with plans to expand these talents to more areas of her practice.
Attributing much of her success to her grit and raw determination, Ms. Spring is particularly proud of her humble beginnings and her overcoming many obstacles to establish her own practice at the age of 33. Her tenacity and enthusiasm for helping others heal has motivated Ms. Spring to grow her practice and offer new mental health and healing services to a global audience.
