Outside of his role at Simpawtico, Mr. Stone works on behalf of his local animal shelter, the Chemung County Humane Society, as a behavioral and training manager. In addition, he avails himself as a consultant at the Best Friends Animal Society, a nonprofit organization that provides financial support to shelters in need of aid, and in a similar role at Rainbow of Hope Animal Rescue Inc. In his capacity as a consultant, Mr. Stone is particularly proud to have visited various communities across the Northeastern region of the United States.
Likewise dedicated to creative expression, Mr. Stone maintains a separate business, Moulin Diesel, as an online store for illustrations and graphic design. Mr. Stone first studied at Southern Oregon University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in British literature, magna cum laude, in 2002, and a Master of Education, summa cum laude, in 2003. After working as a high school teacher for several years, he pivoted toward the field of dog training and pursued certification in various areas with the Council of Professional Dog Trainers, the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, the Family Dog Mediation Education Center, and Pet Tech Productions Inc. Furthermore, as a commitment to his field, Mr. Stone has maintain his affiliation with such organizations as the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, and the American Kennel Club.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Stone aspires to continue expanding the scope of operations at Simpawtico, for which he hopes to open additional locations and eventually move to a larger facility in order to service more dogs. Likewise, he hopes to avail himself further to the field at large as a consultant through the Best Friends Animal Society and as a speaker and presenter on various subjects that can be of interest to dog owners and their canine friends.
