Shirley J. Billigmeier, Owner, Author, and Consultant at Innergetics LLC and Co-founder at The Rapunzel Project, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health and nutrition consulting.

With decades of experience to her credit, Mrs. Billigmeier has excelled as the creator, owner, author and consultant with Innergetics LLC since 1995 as well as the co-founder of The Rapunzel Project since 2010. A renowned expert of “gut-brain,” she has promoted her energy-based approach to eating through speaking engagements, online courses, and her 1991 book, “Inner Eating,” which includes a foreword from Dr. Michael Jensen of The Mayo Clinic. Prior to her present positions, she was active as a teacher with St. Louis Park Public Schools between 1971 and 1977. Before embarking on her professional path, she pursued an education at the University of Minnesota, from which she earned a Bachelor of Science in physical education and health in 1971. Mrs. Billigmeier concluded her studies at the aforementioned university in 1975, graduating with a Master of Arts in health education.

In light of her impressive undertakings, Mrs. Billigmeier has accrued several accolades throughout her career, including the CE+HD Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Minnesota in 2013, the Best Food Relationship Advisor Award from LUXlife Food & Drink Awards in 2021 and 2022, and recognition among the Top 100 Innovators and Entrepreneurs by Top 100 Magazine in 2023, and many more. Inspired by her own personal experiences with unhealthy eating habits as a cheerleader and, later, as a teacher, she has been further driven to understand the complexities of psychology, nutrition, and physical exercise, and is constantly creating new tools to help people discover and reinstate their eating boundaries. Among the many highlights of her career, she is incredibly proud to help others overcome their eating issues by sharing her knowledge and expertise while encouraging them to acknowledge and work through their emotions as opposed to suppressing them. In the coming years, Mrs. Billigmeier hopes to expand the number of certified coaches with Innergetics while reaching a global audience to better address the challenges surrounding eating habits and weight management.
