With nearly 20 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Schambach has excelled as president, inspector, and owner of Professional Inspection Service since 2005. He specializes in radon and serves on the international board of the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists. He has served as the vice president of the national board and a member of the board of directors at the same for 12 years.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Schambach pursued an education at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, where he completed coursework in NRSB radon mitigation and testing. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He held the role of board vice president of the NYS Coalition for Indoor Air Quality and was a past board member of the Chenango River Theater from 2011 to 2018.

In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Schambach remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He served as district governor for New England’s chapter of Sertoma International and was president of the New York State Coalition for Radon and the Southern Tier Association of Home Inspectors. He contributed to the emergency squad of the Deposit Fire Department, was a New York state instructor of emergency medical technicians, and was a member of the New York State Radon Task Force.

Mr. Schambach considers one of his most important career contributions to be educating people about the dangers of radon, a decayed radiation particle found in the ground that can cause cancer when inhaled into the upper lobes of the lungs. He takes pride in his family, which includes his wife, who is a retired teacher, and his children. One child is a district manager for ABC Supply, one owns a building supply company, and another works for Ford Motor Company. His second youngest son has yet to discover his passion. In the immediate future, he seeks to be elected Vice President of the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists and eventually become president within five to 10 years.
