Lynda J. Griffin, Owner and Interior Decorator at Creative Interior Designs by Lynda LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in architecture and law.
With more than 15 years of professional experience to her credit, Ms. Griffin has most recently excelled as the host of her own interior design show, “Destined for Design with Lynda Griffin.” Additionally, she is the owner and principal interior decorator of Creative Interior Designs by Lynda LLC. Her company is a full-service interior design business that provides affordable luxury design to its clients. More specifically, her responsibilities including communicating with clients, designing sustainable homes, teaching leadership and promoting an encouraging work environment for her employees.
In light of her achievements in the field, Ms. Griffin has been the recipient of the Distinguished Lifetime Award from the Norfolk University Alumni Association, as well as the Outstanding Workmanship Excellence Award. Outside of her professional endeavors, she also served as the president of the Norfolk University Alumni Association and as a judge for Extreme Shelter Makeover.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Griffin excelled as an adjunct professor at the College of Southern Maryland. Additionally, she worked as a program analyst and a case manager. A graduate of Norfolk State University, Ms. Griffin received a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice and sociology in 1992. Soon thereafter, she secured a certification in international interior design from the College of Southern Maryland.
In an effort to remain aware of changes and advancements in the field, Ms. Griffin maintains affiliation with the American Society of Interior Designers and the Interior Design Society. She attributes her professional success to hard work and attention to detail. As a business owner, she has always challenged herself and sought to set attainable goals. In the coming years, she would like to continue growing her business while witnessing the continued success of her show.
