Ronald L. Mercer, Management and Marketing, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership.
Growing up, Dr. Mercer’s father set a pristine example of how to succeed in business. Seeking success of his own, Dr. Mercer attended Southern Nazarene University, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1970. Three years later, he completed a program management development course at Harvard University. Later, in 1989, Dr. Mercer was awarded an Honorary Humanities Doctorate from his alma mater.
Since 1989, Dr. Mercer has excelled as the owner and co-founder of Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Throughout his career, he gained experience at Xerox Corporation and Wilson Foods Corporation. In both of these companies, Dr. Mercer climbed his way up the ladder of positions all the way to the top, leaving under the titles of president, chairman, and chief executive officer. In his spare time, Dr. Mercer enjoys playing golf, boating, and spending time with his family. He and his wife share four children, 11 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. As a testament to his professional success, Dr. Mercer is featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and Who’s Who in America, as well as the 1st edition of Who’s Who in America: Student Version.
