Judith A. Cuesta, Owner, Real Estate Broker and Investor at Racetrack/Signature Properties, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in real estate.
From watching her great aunt excel in the real estate sector, once holding the note on the well-known Highlands Inn of Carmel, Ms. Cuesta was inspired to someday spearhead a career in real estate in her own right. She got her start as president and chief executive officer of the Home State Mortgage Corporation from 1982 to 1986. From there, she was an assistant manager and mortgage loan underwriter of Home Savings of America (now Chase) during which she bought one of the properties and underwrote her own loan, creating a day-to-day routine that further evolved. Ms. Cuesta then went on to gain additional experience as the owner and real estate broker of Signature Mortgage Services from 1990 to 2000 and program chair and president of Music on the Divide from 2003 to 2013.
Today, Ms. Cuesta flourishes as the owner and real estate broker of Racetrack/Signature Properties, roles she commenced in 2000. Currently holding 11 properties, she buys, manages and conducts rehab on properties. Of her numerous responsibilities, Ms. Cuesta gets her own tenants, runs credit reports, looks at the properties, hires contractors, makes lists, takes care of all the properties and makes an evaluation of the properties as if she is going to live there herself before renting. Attributing her success to hard work and dedication, she was the recipient of a plaque for Appreciation of Dedication and Leadership, and most recently was honored with a Five Star Plaque from Broker*Agent Advisor noting her having demonstrated exemplary achievement and excellence in real estate. Ms. Cuesta is backed by coursework from Chabot College and hopes to continue growing in the real estate industry in the coming years following the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ms. Cuesta attended the Sierra Academy of Aeronautics and holds a private pilot’s license and plays the organ.
