With years of experience to her credit, Ms. Gonzalez currently excels as the chief executive officer for the Tampa Bay Community Center. In this position, she helps members of her community obtain health insurance through the Affordable Care Act, U.S. citizenship, social security benefits, food stamps, low-income housing and other legal services. Prior to this position, Ms. Gonzalez worked as an insurance agent as well as an assistant to the pharmacist at a local pharmacy.
A native of Cuba, Ms. Gonzalez graduated from her local high school before embarking on her professional path. Electing to not pursue a collegiate education, she subsequently obtained her license as an insurance agent. Ms. Gonzalez began her career working for her parents, who had opened a children’s clothing shop in 1984 and entrusted her to manage the business to better refine her entrepreneurial spirit.
Renowned for her willingness to go above and beyond for those in need, Ms. Gonzalez attributes her success to her positivity and her accommodating nature. She was drawn to her work with the Tampa Bay Community Center out of her desire to help people and counsel others on financially preparing for their eventual retirement. Ultimately, Ms. Gonzalez believes her primary goal is to aid people in enjoying their retirement without worrying about financial concerns.
Among the many highlights of her career, Ms. Gonzalez is incredibly proud to selflessly help others as she would rather focus on helping other people as opposed to making money for herself. She is also grateful for her wonderful colleagues, whom she considers to be like family and hopes to prepare to assume her responsibilities for her forthcoming retirement. Looking toward the future, Ms. Gonzalez hopes to continue thriving in her present position while ensuring her mission with the Tampa Bay Community Center continues after she leaves the workforce.
