With over two decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Thomas has cultivated a career of excellence across a variety of entrepreneurial endeavors. Since 2018, he has operated as a co-owner of The Real McCoy’s, a popular restaurant located in his hometown of Wake Forest, North Carolina. The restaurant promotes a safe and friendly community environment, which Mr. Thomas plays a large role in maintaining. Having originally joined the business as a bar manager, he decided to purchase it and make it his own.
As a restaurant owner, Mr. Thomas oversees the entire business, from managing his staff of over 50 employees to keeping an eye on all daily operations. Adjacent to his primary responsibilities, he has also excelled as a life insurance salesman. As part of his dedication to his endeavors, Mr. Thomas also remains affiliated with Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society linking students and business professionals around the world in light of their goals and ideals.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Thomas pursued a formal education, earning a bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship at Greenville Technical College in 2015. Having long admired the creative arts, he also completed coursework in theater arts. Well regarded for his academic and professional accomplishments, Mr. Thomas was recognized as one of the Best of the Best at the Wake Choice Awards. He also remains active as a civic-minded citizen in his community, participating in veteran paintball and regularly donating funds to the police.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Thomas has attributed his success to his team-oriented personality. To wit, he constantly aspires to greatness and never quits in any of his pursuits. In light of his fulfilling career, he is most notably proud to have turned his struggling business into a thriving enterprise, and to have found success during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the coming years, Mr. Thomas hopes to continue growing the financial side of his business and cultivating the company’s culture.
