Having accumulated nearly two decades of experience, Mr. Sokurec is a rising expert in the real estate industry. Specializing in residential real estate, he founded Homestead Road in 2006, where he continues to operate as the chief executive officer. He and his partner, Alex Delendik, took a great deal of inspiration from companies such as Zappos.com LLC and Amazon.com Inc. to create their own brand that provides quality customer service within the field of real estate. In his leadership position, Mr. Sokurec utilizes his knowledge in capital structure and banking relationships to guide the company and assist clients looking to buy or sell their homes.
Prior to founding his own company, Mr. Sokurec originally began his career in 2003, working as a leading credit analyst for Belarusbank in Minsk, Belarus, until 2005. He also founded the Midwest Real Estate Investors Association in 2013 and served as the organization’s president until 2017. Mr. Sokurec is also well regarded for his creative output, having operated as the host of “The Real Deal in Real Estate” on a local television channel in Minneapolis, Minnesota, between 2015 and 2018. Furthermore, he is an accomplished author, having published “Total Financial Awakening: Escape the Grind, Discover Freedom, and Reclaim your Life through Real Estate Investing” in 2020.
Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Sokurec pursued a formal education at the Belarus State Economic University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2003. In addition to his academic credentials, he has also completed several instructional courses with Zappos.com LLC and with The Canfield Training Group. He also holds a mortgage license. To remain abreast of developments in his field, Mr. Sokurec also remains affiliated with the National Speakers Association and the Young Presidents’ Organization, and he maintains his membership within the Midwest Real Estate Investors Association.
To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, Mr. Sokurec and his business were named in the Inc. 5,000 as one of the Fastest Growing Companies in America and one of the Best Places to Work by Inc. Magazine in 2019. Accounting for his achievements, he attributes much of his success to the guidance of his mentors, as well as his persistence in the pursuit of his dreams. He is notably proud of his work as a bestselling author and to have been a finalist for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
