Beyond her primary responsibilities, Ms. Hymers has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her immediate professional circles. In 1968, she contributed to the University of Arizona School of Journalism in a volunteer capacity. Ms. Hymers has also been affiliated with Women in Journalism since 1966.
