Edward R. Jastrem, CFP, Director of Financial Planning at Heritage Financial Services, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in wealth management.
As the director of financial planning at Heritage Financial Services since 2007, Mr. Jastrem develops best practices to ensure that all clients receive the best advice for their goals and needs. He analyzes and develops advanced planning strategies around income tax, state tax, charitable giving and multigenerational wealth. Among his areas of expertise, Mr. Jastrem has developed a robust tax planning skillset. The majority of Heritage Financial Services’ clients live in the Boston, Massachusetts, area, but the firm boasts clientele across 36 states.
In preparation for his career in financial services, Mr. Jastrem attended Boston University, completing coursework in foreign affairs and congressional policymaking. He graduated from Colby College with a Bachelor of Arts in government with a minor in psychology and business in 2002. In 2012, Mr. Jastrem earned a certificate in financial planning from the Boston University Center for Professional Education, and in 2020, he graduated from the College for Financial Planning with a Master of Science in personal financial planning.
Alongside his formal degrees, Mr. Jastrem holds numerous professional credentials. He is a Chartered Financial Consultant, a Certified Financial Planner, a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, an Accredited Wealth Management Advisor and a Registered Continuing Education Provider. To keep abreast of his field, he maintains membership with the Financial Planning Association.
Mr. Jastrem became involved in his industry because of his father, who is a retired Certified Public Accountant. In the coming years, he plans to continue leading his firm and seeing it grow. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, learning about plants and animals, and spending time with his child.
