Since 2006, Mr. Rattan has found success as the founder and chief executive officer of Safe Health Educators. The company is an educational rescue services organization which offers trainings for health care professionals, OSHA and regulatory compliance. In his position, Mr. Rattan handles the daily operation of the business which is open six days every week. Among their clients, Safe Health Educators works with Northwell Health Systems and North American Partners in Anesthesia. The company is a registered American Heart Association Training Center and National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians trainer. Mr. Rattan is a master trainer, and as part of his duties, he trains other trainers.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Rattan completed coursework at Mercy College. He graduated from Nassau Community College with an Associate of Science in emergency management. In 1992, Mr. Rattan earned a degree from Molloy University. Alongside his formal degrees, he holds numerous professional certifications. He is an Advance Emergency Medical Technician, a Licensed Nurse, a Paramedic and a HAZMAT Instructor, among myriad credentials. From 1981 to 1985, he served in the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his primary roles, he authored “The Rainbow Adventure.”
For his professional excellence, Mr. Rattan received an Excellence in Healthcare Award in 2021. He earned the SBDC Veteran of the Year Award from the Small Business Development Center in 2020 and was named EMS Provider of the Year by the Nassau Regional EMS Council in 1998. Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Rattan is proudest of his awards and citations for his volunteer work with the fire department. In the coming years, he plans to retire and spend time vacationing with his wife.
