In preparation for his career, Mr. Chan attended Baruch College, part of the City University of New York system. He graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Mr. Chan was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to the United States in 1978.
Alongside his formal degrees, Mr. Chan holds multiple professional certifications. In 1994, he became a Certified Public Accountant. He is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant, an Accredited Tax Advisor and an Accredited Tax Preparer.
Mr. Chan attributes his success to his passion for accounting and helping his clients.
