With decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Klingensmith has excelled as the president and owner of Pennsylvania Precision Products Inc. since 2007. In this position, he offers a number of services to clients at a reasonable and competitive rate, including the grinding of carbide, tool steels and ceramic components for stamping tools, heat treatment, machining and cylindrical grinding, to name a few. Mr. Klingensmith previously found success in the hospitality industry, though he shifted his attention towards the tool and die industry, which offered more flexibility with his schedule and free time.
Prior to these positions, Mr. Klingensmith was active as a precision surface grinder and tool maker with Penn United Technologies, Inc. in 2002 and a grinder for Toolex Manufacturing from 1984 to 2001. During this time, he refined his skills through apprenticeships with Toolex Manufacturing and Ultra Precision Inc. between 1984 and 1990. Having further worked with Precise Tooling Solutions Inc. and Dynacraft, Mr. Klingensmith began his career with a local farm at the age of 12 before accepting a position with 1844 restaurant four years later, where he eventually advanced to the post of head chef only two years thereafter.
Mr. Klingensmith notably pursued a higher education at the age of 45, graduating from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with an associate degree in electro-fiber optics in 2005. Subsequently, he obtained his certification in autocad from The Pennsylvania State University in 2012. Moreover, Mr. Klingensmith has been certified as a journeyman in tool and die building and precision surface grinding in the state of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Klingensmith attributes his success to the influence of Ed Fitzgerald, a high school football defensive coordinator and mentor whose lessons are utilized on a nearly daily basis and sadly passed away in 2022. Among the highlights of his career, he is incredibly proud of his ability to thrive as an entrepreneur after buying out his business partners twelve years ago, and he is grateful to hear from customers that they had found his business via good word-of-mouth. Furthermore, he remains dedicated to his community as a supporter of local charitable activities. In the coming years, Mr. Klingensmith hopes to retire and pass the control of Pennsylvania Precision Products Inc. to a proper successor.
