Dr. Albert Allen, investor and president of Barton York, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners and Entrepreneurs for dedication, achievements, and leadership as a civic-minded philanthropist.
Dr. Allen has cultivated a fulfilling career as a multi-faceted professional, with more than 30 years of experience to his credit. For the majority of his career, he has served as the president and lead investor at Barton York, where he utilizes his expertise in commercial, retail and residential real estate. Throughout his career, he has managed a wealth of additional opportunities, having worked in trade development, international business, government advising, and global charity work. To wit, Dr. Allen has worked with the China Chamber for Promotion of International Trade, several European Chambers of Commerce, government officials in the Pentagon, and the Lockheed Martin Corporation.
In his other professional endeavors, Dr. Allen has also thrived as a professional author and filmmaker. To wit, he has authored and contributed to the creation of numerous books; most recently, he collaborated on the creation of the 2019 book, “The Golden Rules of Success.” Furthermore, he has co-produced various documentaries and film projects, including “Folds of Honor,” “It’s Happening Right Here,” and both “Live from Broadway” and “The Walk On” from Amazon Prime Video. As part of his dedication to his numerous professional interests, Dr. Allen maintains his affiliation with several pertinent organizations, including The National Association of Experts, Writers & Speakers, the National Academy of Best-Selling Authors and the International Filmmaking Academy.
Dr. Allen is also well-regarded as a civic-minded citizen, having served as an educator at both Tsinghua University and Peking University in China. Additionally, he has conducted a wealth of international philanthropy and global humanitarian work, participating in fundraisers to feed children and with other academic initiatives. Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, he pursued his own formal education, originally earning a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1981. Dr. Allen ultimately achieved a PhD in economics while studying in the United Kingdom in 1992.
To commemorate his achievements, Dr. Allen has been honored with numerous accolades over the course of his career, including having been named a best-selling author on several occasions and receiving six Emmy Awards for his film documentaries. Likewise, he received the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award from the Office of the President in 2022, and he was recently nominated for a Nobel Prize in 2023. Attributing much of his success to the guidance of his mentors, he is particularly proud to have participated in the creation of more than 3,100 children’s centers, orphanages and schools in 42 different countries. In the coming years, Dr. Allen looks forward to continuing in all of his endeavors, particularly his civil work with children’s centers, and he hopes to find new partners to join him in his work.
