Mr. Barrington continues to guide the shop based on its founding principles of introducing joy into the lives of others. As part of his dedication to his professional endeavors, he also remains affiliated with the Graham Chamber of Commerce. To commemorate the accomplishments of his business, Mr. Barrington and Joy’s Downtown Flowers were featured in Graham Living Magazine.
Adjacent to his primary professional endeavors, Mr. Barrington also remains active as a civic-minded citizen. To wit, he has participated as a member and volunteer at his local church for many years, and he regularly supports various local charities for children with special needs. As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Barrington also pursued a formal education. After earning his high school diploma in 1993, he subsequently attended the Texas State Technical College and achieved an associate’s degree in commercial and advertising art in 1996.
Well-versed in graphic design, Mr. Barrington found he was able to utilize and even improve his skills while assisting at the flower shop, often creating unique advertisements and graphics for the business. This would assist in his progression toward becoming the owner of the enterprise. In light of his fulfilling career, he has largely attributed his achievements to his faith and the support of his family and customers. Notably proud to have continued the success of Joy’s Downtown Flowers, Mr. Barrington hopes to continue growing the business further in the coming years by introducing new locations in nearby towns.
