John McCure, vice president of system engineering at MachineSense, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the engineering industry.
Drawing on more than five decades of experience, Mr. McCure is a proven expert in the field of engineering. Since 2020, he has served as the vice president of system engineering for MachineSense, a technology development and manufacturing brand. Prior to his current appointment, he operated as the chief executive officer of Big Data Masters LLC from 2015 to 2020. Furthermore, from 2014 to 2016, Mr. McCure was a consultant for the Curtiss-Wright Corporation.
Mr. McCure originally began his career in 1972, honorably serving as a main frame specialist in the United States Marine Corps until 1972. Prior to retiring from his service, he earned the rank of corporal. Over the course of his career, he has also worked with such notable brands as Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, The Boeing Company, Electrospace Systems Inc. and Decision Consultants. During his time in the field, Mr. McCure was the senior designer on the F-35, worked on the control system for the F-22, and acted as the senior designer and integrator for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, to name a few of his noteworthy projects.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. McCure pursued a formal education, beginning at the University of Louisville. As a student of the institution, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, cum laude, in 1976 and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering for controls and computer engineering, cum laude, in 1978. He subsequently continued his studies at the University of Chicago and achieved both a master’s degree in corporate management and a Master of Business Administration in 1989. As part of his dedication to his profession, Mr. McCure also remains affiliated with the Scientific Research Society of North America and the Commonwealth of Kentucky Engineering Office.
Mr. McCure naturally gravitated toward a career as an engineer, having been fascinated by new generations of computing platforms and technology. In light of his fulfilling career, he attributes much of his success to his dedication and academic background. Though he is proud of his many projects and achievements, he is particularly proud to have completed a recent project involving toll road computer systems, which involved the installation of 10,000 new CPUs. In the coming years, Mr. McCure hopes to engage in more model-based systems engineering.
