Randy Brawley, Founder of Wise Oak Consulting, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in disaster preparedness.
Since 2017, Mr. Brawley has excelled as the founder of Wise Oak Consulting, a disaster preparedness consulting firm. In this role, he develops and completes emergency plans, continuity plans, risk assessments and grant applications. Prior to this position, Mr. Brawley served as a preparedness analyst and planning officer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency from 2009 to 2017 and as an operations manager for facility maintenance with IAP World Services in 2009.
Mr. Brawley garnered additional experience as a plant manager for OptiSolar from 2007 to 2009 and as acting chief of the Checkmate division of the U.S. Air Force Headquarters from 2005 to 2007. He served in the U.S. Air Force on active duty from 1986 to 2007, retiring at the rank of lieutenant colonel. During his service, Mr. Brawley was the chief of guidance, apportionment and targeting in the 609th combat plan squadron at Shaw Air Force Base from 2001 to 2003. He was also the commander of the 705th training squadron and the 505th command and control wing from 2003 to 2005.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Brawley graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering in 1986. In 2000, he obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Mr. Brawley concluded his higher education at the Naval Postgraduate School and graduated with a master’s degree in homeland security in 2015.
Mr. Brawley attributes his success to his grandfather, who helped instill in him the importance of a strong work ethic. He also credits the integrity imparted to him by his household. Among his accomplishments, he is proudest of securing grant funds for the tribes of Trinidad Rancheria. In the coming years, Mr. Brawley hopes to find success through his creative endeavors and writing while continuing in his current business.
