Donald W. Gupton, Founder, President and Owner of Precision Flooring Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in flooring.
Since 1985, Mr. Gupton has found success as the founder, president and owner of Precision Flooring Inc. In this role, he employs his expertise in custom hardwood flooring, including pre-finished and unfinished floors. Prior to this position, he was an apprentice installer and floor mechanic with Custom Cutters Linoleum from 1975 to 1978. To keep abreast of his field, Mr. Gupton maintains affiliation with the National Wood Flooring Association.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Gupton earned a diploma from Castle High School. Following his graduation, he completed coursework in business law at West Valley College. In 1985, Mr. Gupton earned his contractor’s license, certifying him in floor covering installations and C-15 flooring.
Alongside his primary positions, Mr. Gupton is a sponsor of youth sports and a donor to local schools. He supports sporting events and part performance programs. Committed to his community, Mr. Gupton served Oak Grove High School of the East Side Union High School District as head football coach from 1995 to 2011.
In recognition of his professional excellence, Mr. Gupton was voted Best of Silicon Valley by The Mercury News on multiple occasions. In 2016, he was named Best of Houzz by Houzz Inc. He attributes his success to his integrity and experience. In his spare time, Mr. Gupton enjoys traveling, playing golf, spending time with his family and making picture frames from reclaimed materials. He hopes to enter his well-deserved retirement in the coming years.
