Mike McGuire, owner and president of WorldwideFastenerSources.com LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners and Entrepreneurs for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of technology.
With more than 60 years of experience to his credit, Mr. McGuire is a proven expert in the technology industry. Specializing in fastener tools and equipment, he has primarily operated in the fastener distribution business for the vast majority of his career. To wit, he first began working in a fastener packaging room when he was 12 years old, learning the trade from his father. Now, since 2017, Mr. McGuire has served as the owner and president of WorldwideFastenerSources.com LLC, his fastener sourcing and applications company based in Daniel Island, South Carolina.
In his leadership roles, Mr. McGuire oversees various business procedures, including mentoring his colleagues and creating new online content for the company’s website. Primarily an online business, the enterprise is well-regarded for providing clients and customers with highly informative services and products pertaining to over 13,000 specific fasteners and more than 4,500 trade names. In his other prior work experience, he utilized his expertise as the owner of the American Fastener Journal and the International Fastener Expo for 35 years.
Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. McGuire pursued a formal education. As a student of Franklin University, he achieved a bachelor’s degree in marketing in 1972. Additionally, he honorably served in the United States Navy for two years. Ever committed to his profession, he also remains affiliated with several pertinent organizations, including the American Purchasing Society and Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs. Furthermore, Mr. McGuire is a former member of the National Fastener Distributors Association.
To commemorate his achievements in the field, Mr. McGuire was inducted into the Fastener Hall of Fame in 1994. Likewise, he was recently honored with a Soaring Eagle Award for Service from the Industrial Fastener Institute in 2020, making him one of two members of the Fastener Hall of Fame to receive the accolade. In light of his fulfilling career, he has largely attributed his success to his commitment to excellent service and ability to exceed the expectations of others. Mr. McGuire is abundantly proud of his experiences in fastener trade shows, and he looks forward to completing and presenting even more projects, while also further growing his business in the coming years.
