With more than 25 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Altemus has excelled as the owner of Align Visual Arts since 2004. During this time, he has been additionally active as a founding member, graphic designer and board member for the Neighborhood Food Project since 2009, an initiative dedicated to supporting local food banks and encouraging others to become involved in their communities. Prior to these positions, he served as a production editor with Advanced Marketing Services between 2000 and 2003. Mr. Altemus began his career as a production editor with Bathroom Readers’ Press from 1997 to 2003.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Altemus pursued an education at Kent State University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English language and literature in 1992. As a testament to his stellar professional endeavors, he has been presented with multiple Certificates of Acknowledgement from several nonprofit organizations over the years. Drawn to the publishing industry prior to dedicating his attention to freelance work and eventually establishing Align Visual Arts, he attributes his success to his passion, tenacity, work ethic and stellar communication skills, which have enabled him to cement exceptional relationships with his clients. Among the many highlights of his career, he is incredibly proud of helping a longtime collaborator to design a collection of coffee table books as well as his contributions in the nonprofit sector. In the coming years, Mr. Altemus hopes to employ and train additional employees so he can manage projects, grow his business and devote more time to creative efforts.
