With decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Pirtle has excelled as the owner of Pirtle Forestry Services LLC for nearly 50 years. During this time, he has been active as a member of the Alabama Forestry Commission for the last 20 years. In addition to these positions, he formerly worked as the director of forest management for the state of Alabama, a law enforcement officer, a tree farm inspector, and the owner of a cow and donkey business. Likewise, Mr. Pirtle has been affiliated with the Alabama Forest Owners’ Association, West Autauga Water Authority, Autauga County Rural Development Committee, and the Alabama Association of Conservation Districts, the latter of which appointed him as their second vice president in 2023.
To support his professional endeavors, Mr. Pirtle pursued an education at Auburn University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in forest management in 1978. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career, including a number of awards from the Alabama Treasure Forest Association, an honor from Lions Club International, and a recognition as the Tree Farm Inspector of the Year. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he is incredibly proud of contributing to the betterment of the country as well as raising a wonderful family and maintaining a successful marriage for more than 50 years. Looking toward the future, Mr. Pirtle hopes to remain healthy, continue thriving in his business and dedicate his spare time to his wife and grandchildren.
