Born in Cyprus, Prof. Skevas served for two years in the National Guard of Cyprus. He subsequently immigrated to the United States, where he dedicated himself to the higher ideals of education and studied at Queens College, from which he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1981. Following this accomplishment, he received his designation as a CPA from the State University of New York in 1988. Among the highlights of his career, he has been incredibly reputable with tax accounting, having even outshined prestigious tax lawyers with globally recognized accounting firms in the interest of better serving their clients. Looking toward the future, Prof. Skevas aspires to continue his teaching career at New York University – likewise, once he commences his retirement from his accounting responsibilities, he hopes to begin teaching a course on federal taxation.
