With nearly 20 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Barnett has excelled as the owner of Renu Painting and Remodeling since 2016. Beginning his career in 2004 as a painter, he was subsequently active as the owner of a painting business that handled a number of high profile commercial projects, including those at the Keesler Air Force Base, before shifting his attention to the field of nursing. Moreover, he served as a travel nurse and an oncology nurse with such institutions as My Health My Resources of Tarrant County and a cancer clinic in Albuqueque, New Mexico. Between 2013 and 2016, Mr. Barnett held multiple positions in the natural gas industry, such as a fracking superintendent in Midland, Texas and a plant operator for Targa Resources.
To support his professional endeavors, Mr. Barnett pursued higher education at Western Texas College, earning an associate’s degree in nursing and his registration to practice nursing in 2011. Outside of his primary responsibilities, he maintained his affiliation with the Texas Panhandle Builders Association, his local Chamber of Commerce, the Breakthrough Academy, the Painting Contractors Association, the Academy of Professional Paint Contractors and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of Emerald. Attributing his success to his beliefs and discipline, he is incredibly proud to have found happiness and wealth through his service to others, which he loves, as well as his nominations for Best Business in Amarillo and Best Place to Work in Amarillo. Looking toward the future, Mr. Barnett hopes to incorporate acquisition into the business as they begin to sell their systems to other painting companies and set a new standard of excellence for the industry with significant number goals across the U.S.
