With more than 40 years of experience in the collision industry, Mr. Burns has excelled as the owner of Booneville Collision Repair Inc. since 2006. In this position, he manages and oversees the daily operations of the business, including administrative tasks. Alongside this role, he is the current owner of the Parker Sportsplex. Mr. Burns is proudest of expanding his body shop, which originally started from a small shop within a larger building. After purchasing the 43,000-square-foot building, he rents out the extra space.
Mr. Burns prepared for his career by earning his GED and completing college coursework. He was inspired to work in his field by his father, a mechanic who always ensured Mr. Burns could watch him work and understand the mechanisms at play. Now an accomplished professional in the field, he has educated himself on every facet of collision and body repair. He attributes his success to hard work and treating people well.
Alongside his primary positions, Mr. Burns enjoys serving as a pitching coach for girls’ softball. He first became involved in the sport because of his daughter, who competed on a travel team. After driving three hours each way to take her to a pitching lesson, Mr. Burns decided to start offering pitching lessons in his area. His coaching practice has grown to serve many students.
Mr. Burns looks forward to a future where his children have all settled down in the local area. He hopes to see his son retire from military service and eagerly awaits his grandchildren moving closer. Committed to giving back and supporting his community, Mr. Burns helped renovate the baseball field at his son’s school. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and racing go-karts.
