With more than 35 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Quast has excelled as the owner and president of Speedpro Shawnee, a business that provides large format printing and graphic solutions for branding and marketing purposes in the Kansas City and Johnson County area, since 2013. In this position, he is responsible for managing individual jobs and workloads, handling bill payments and payroll, communicating with clients, conducting sales, and visiting prospective clients. In addition to these responsibilities, Mr. Quast has been additionally active as a member of the National Remodeling Association since 2018 and the chairman of the Northeast Johnson County Chamber since 2023.
Mr. Quast previously found success in the field of information technology with DST systems, for which he worked as a technology director from 1987 to 2012, a systems programmer from 1987 to 1989, a principal architect from 1989 to 1992, and a help desk manager from 1992 to 1996. He began his career as a senior programmer analyst for First Data Resources from 1985 to 1987. Prior to embarking on his professional path, Mr. Quast pursued an education at DeVry University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems in 1985.
Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Quast has contributed to his community by donating signage and resources to Team Smile and Small College Basketball. As a testament to his exceptional efforts, Speedpro Shawnee was recognized as the Small Business of the Year by the Northeast Johnson County Chamber in 2014 and 2019. Mr. Quast attributes his success to his stellar ability to build relationships, network, and understand others.
Mr. Quast was drawn to his present post after discovering his aptitude for owning a franchise as well as his desire to bet on himself in an industry that catered to the needs of businesses. Among his many accomplishments, he is incredibly proud of witnessing the success of Speedpro Shawnee. Looking toward the future, he hopes to eventually sell his business while remaining on with the company as a consultant until he can fully retire. Moreover, Mr. Quast plans to fully recover from an accident suffered in late 2022, at which point he will continue traveling and volunteering in his spare time.
