Since 2019, Ms. Anello has excelled as the owner of Aunt Bee’s House. In this role, she is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the business. She handles opening and closing the store as well as interfacing with customers. Ms. Anello’s business is a vendor mall with more than 80 small shops under one roof. Boasting 10,000 square feet, Aunt Bee’s House sells local honey, handmade goods, soaps, candles, vintage items and plants. She greets first-time customers with a free gift.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Anello garnered experience with State Farm, working as a senior claims administrative assistant for auto and homeowner’s insurance from 2016 to 2018. From 2009 to 2016, she was a senior claims service assistant for auto insurance, before which she held the same role for personal injury protection from 2001 to 2009. Ms. Anello began working for State Farm as a claims adjuster, a role she excelled in from 1983 to 2009. In preparation for her career, she earned an associate degree in accounting from the Merritt Davis College of Business.
In recognition of her professional success, Ms. Anello has been the recipient of multiple awards and accolades. In 2019, she earned The Gold Award from The Best of Mid-Valley for her business, Aunt Bee’s House. Her store also received the same honor for The Best of Willamette Valley.
Alongside her primary professional endeavors, Ms. Anello was the board president and tribal elder for Straub Outdoors. She has contributed as a donor to the Boy Scouts of America, the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and to local churches and schools. She is a member of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. Attributing her success to her customer service skills, she considers her greatest accomplishment to be her transition from corporate work to successful entrepreneurship. In her spare time, Ms. Anello enjoys camping, traveling, thrifting and spending time with her family.
