With more than 20 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Rowitz has excelled as the co-owner of North Star Contracting since 2022. Prior to this position, he was active as the general manager for Modern Remodeling Inc. from 2007 to 2022. He previously served as a salesperson with Modern Remodeling Inc. between 2002 and 2007. Mr. Rowitz began his career as a salesperson working for two local contractors.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Rowitz pursued an education at George Mason University, completing undergraduate coursework between 1998 and 1999. In the years that followed, he accrued a number of certifications, including as a SELECT ShingleMaster, a Shingle Technology Specialist and Master Shingle Applicator by CertainTeed in 2002, a certified vinyl siding installer for Vinyl Siding Institute in 2012, a residential roofing inspector for hail and wind by Haag in 2012, and both a building solutions specialist and master craftsman by CertainTeed in 2012. Most recently, Mr. Rowitz was certified as a restoration contractor on insurance subrogation by Claims Training Service in 2015.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Rowitz has accrued several accolades throughout his career. Notably, his business was recognized as Prince William County’s Best Restoration Company. In 2013, Mr. Rowitz was honored by CertainTeed as a Five-Star Contractor.
In addition to the strong drive, determination and motivation that propelled him through continued learning, Mr. Rowitz credits his success to his education, training, expertise, and knowledge in the field. Among his most notable achievements, he is incredibly proud of the successful and rapid growth of North Star Contracting, having provided millions of dollars worth of services in their first year of operation alone. In the coming years, Mr. Rowitz hopes to witness the prosperous expansion of North Star Contracting by envisioning how contractors interact with property owners, insurance companies and fellow contractors while dedicating his spare time to his family and traveling.
