With over 40 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Hess has excelled as owner and principal at Designed Interior Spaces since 2003. She began her career as section manager of global product supply systems and international logistics at Procter & Gamble from 1982 to 1993, and later as section manager of global product supply systems for export and special operations from 1995 to 1997. She worked as director of information systems at U.S. Shoe from 1993 to 1995. She garnered a stellar reputation as vice president and application development manager at U.S. Bank from 1997 to 1998 before transitioning to Paycor, Inc. as PMO manager and manager of planning and analysis from 1998 to 1999.
Ms. Hess continued her career as program manager and CRM practice manager at AFKelly from 1999 to 2001. She held the role of designer and construction manager at Intertech Design Services Inc. from 2001 to 2003. She was active as co-owner of Marble Arch Products from 1994 to 2011. At Oxford International, she contributed as senior consultant from 2013 to 2014. She was associated with Resolvit Resources as a consultant from 2014 to 2015. She was recruited as lead project manager of Fifth Third Bank from 2015 to 2017.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Hess pursued an education at Trinity College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in music in 1975. She continued her academic efforts at Southern Connecticut State University, obtaining a Master of Science in library sciences in 1976. At the Carl H. Lindner College of Business of the University of Cincinnati, she completed a Master of Business Administration in information technology and quantitative analysis in 1982. She went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior architecture from Mount St. Joseph University in 1994. She attended the Tri-State German American School and studied German as a second language from 2012 to 2013.
In addition to her primary vocation, Ms. Hess remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She holds certifications as an accredited professional from the U.S. Green Building Council, as a professional SCRUM Master, and for leadership in energy and environmental design. She was a member of the International Institute of Business Analysis, the Project Management Institute, Inc., and the International Interior Design Association. She served as parent facilitator at Clark Montessori High School and project manager at St. John’s Unitarian Universalist Church.
