Drawing from more than 20 years of experience in value engineering, mechanical structure architecture and construction management, Mr. Ersoy has found success in his latest role as the principal and partner at Highline Construction Management. Seeking to provide inimitable service in preconstruction, construction management and general contracting, Highline has lent its aid in more than 20 building projects throughout New York City in both a project and construction management capacity. Previously, Mr. Ersoy served as a senior project manager at the Foundations Group and KSK Construction Group, a boutique construction firm that builds high-end structures in Manhattan. In this role, he is particularly proud to have lent his aid to building a structure that was largely considered “unbuildable” – once this feat was accomplished, the building code was changed. The building, located at 24 Leonard Street in the Tribeca neighborhood, features the world’s first completely automated parking system, which can accommodate 150 vehicles.
After attaining a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering at Sakarya University in 2000, Mr. Ersoy went on to study at the New York Institute of Technology, from which he earned a Master of Business Administration in 2006. Drawing inspiration from the example of his parents, both of whom are architects, he dabbled in the construction field before owning a computer company, where he applied his skills in marketing for some time. Following this period, he switched back to construction. In accounting for his overall success, Mr. Ersoy largely credits his ability to listen and heed the advice of others, regardless of their background or profession – he has gained valuable insight from both non-architects and random strangers alike over the course of his career.
