Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Silva pursued an education at Central Texas College where she earned an associate degree in general studies in 2015.
Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Silva has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She provides free Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners every year to struggling families in her community. Additionally, she volunteers for the Kiwanis Club of Killeen and gives back to her community in a variety of ways annually.
In light of him impressive undertakings, Ms. Silva has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She received recognition from the Kiwanis for her consistent donations and charitable nature. The Killeen Daily Herald recognized her in a featured article in 2015, and in 2018, Ma’s Place Harker Heights was voted Best in Central Texas. She was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who’s Who Top Professional and Who’s Who in America.
Ms. Silva became involved in her profession after she resolved to no longer work for employers who underappreciated her. Her most notable achievement has been raising her children as a single mother while operating her business. The impetus to launch her restaurant came after managing a local restaurant for over a decade, during which she accrued the necessary skills and insights to succeed in the food services industry.
Ms. Silva attributes her success to her faith, compassion, and hard work. In the immediate future, she intends to continue growing the restaurant, which she recently expanded to offer pick-up and drive-thru options to help other restaurants. She also hopes to pass along the business to her daughter when she no longer wishes to work.
