Ms. Dundar, a textile engineer and entrepreneur with over 30 years of expertise in fashion, textile design, and wholesale, earned her Bachelor of Engineering in textile engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 1991. She continued her academic pursuits internationally, completing a German course as part of the Vienna Technical University preparation program in 1992, and in 2019, engaged in studio art and sculpture coursework at Florida Atlantic University. Additionally, she graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses accelerator program.
Ms. Dundar’s career commenced in 1993 as a technical assistant to the chief executive officer at ATT Concorde, Türkmen Holding, followed by her tenure as marketing manager at Sera Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. until 1998. Transitioning into entrepreneurship, she co-owned and served as managing director of Trend Tekstil Mümessillik Ltd. until 2010. Subsequently, she established Tries Tekstil Makine san ve Tic Ltd, gaining recognition as an outsourcing production agent for high-end fashion brands until 2018.
Relocating to the United States in 2018 marked a new chapter as Ms. Dundar founded Perlavera Trading, Inc. in 2019, specializing in luxury high-end wholesale clothing. Perlavera quickly gained momentum, catering to approximately 250 boutiques across the southern United States within three years. She oversees all aspects of Perlavera’s operations, from design and manufacturing in Turkey to company management and operational enhancements.
