With nearly 40 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Burger has excelled as owner of Thomas Burger Design Inc., formally known as Zen Interiors Inc., since 1987. He has excelled in his career as owner of How to Succeed In Design 1.1 CEU’s since 1987, the same year he graduated from the New York School of Interior Design.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Burger pursued an education at Indiana University Bloomington where he earned a master’s degree in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology in 1983. He continued his academic efforts at the New York School of Interior Design, studying design and architecture between 1983 and 1985. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He contributed to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House, AMFAR, and various charities for cancer.

In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Burger remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, the ADA, and the Nevada Ballet. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was recognized as Businessman of the Year by the National Republican Congressional Committee’s Business Advisory Council and an honorary chairman for the House of Majority Trust for the 2004 Presidential Dinner under President Bush. He was listed among the Top 20 Entrepreneurs by Deluxe Version Magazine and was featured in several magazines.

Mr. Burger acknowledges that his parents’ hard work significantly impacted his success. Looking forward, Mr. Burger’s goal is to find people on a similar path to create cities of the future that are good for the planet and the human spirit.
