Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Tapio pursued an education at North Dakota State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in facility management, geriatrics, and interior design in 1999. She concluded her studies at the Minnesota School of Business, graduating with a Master of Business Administration in 2012. She holds certifications as a professional credentialing specialist and a medical reimbursement specialist.
Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Tapio has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She has served as the founder of Big Give MN, an organization which helps local families in food crisis, for 15 years. In addition to her primary vocation, she remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She was a member of the Medical Group Management Association, the National Society of Healthcare Business Consultants, the Minnesota Rural Healthcare Association, the American Association of Healthcare Administration Management, the American Academy of Professional Coders, the Minnesota Medical Group Management Association, and the Women’s Entrepreneur Group.
