With 34 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Dossett has excelled as owner of Dossett Consulting since 2010. He began his career as a technical services manager at GTECH Corporation from 1990 to 1998. He worked as regional director of SRI Inc. from 1998 to 2000 and served as clerk of the circuit court of Montgomery County, Indiana from 2001 to 2005. He established himself as an auditor for Montgomery County, Indiana from 2005 to 2007 before transitioning to the role of state director of MAXIMUS from 2007 to 2010. He was active as regional director of 39 Degrees North from 2011 to 2013.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Dossett pursued an education at Ivy Tech Community College Lafayette, where he studied business administration, management, and operations. He is skilled in financial analysis and reporting, budget processing, public speaking, customer service, strategic planning, public policy, political consulting, business process improvement, and more. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He held the role of Ombudsman at the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Dossett remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was presented with the Ombudsman of the Year Award, the President’s Volunteer Service Award, and the Marleen Sutton Clerk of the Year Award. He was recognized as National Republican County Official of the Year by the National Conference of Republican County Officials and for Outstanding Service in Election Administration.
Mr. Dossett attributes his success to his people skills and leadership capabilities. He considers working with county government in financial services and helping them become more effective in their day-to-day operations as his most notable achievement. In the immediate future, he intends to continue growing his company and branching out to other states.
