She launched a non-profit organization called Indixia Friends of Art for India, which operates a private university outside of New Delhi to provide a fine arts education at no cost. Students can explore various artistic and creative approaches, including fashion, graphics, advertising, marketing, textiles, and painting. Beyond covering all educational expenses, the foundation aids graduates in finding employment after exiting the school. Indixia Friends of Art for India also seeks to provide young girls with the necessary life skills to become self-sufficient and avoid being married off at a young age.
In addition to her primary vocation, Ms. Fremura remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She was a member of the WCA, FIATA International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations, PPL One Family, and the International Air Transport Association. In light of her impressive undertakings, she has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She was recognized with a Most Reliable Company commendation for her contributions to Shipping Services Italia.
Ms. Fremura considers her success in the male-dominated shipping industry one of her most notable career accomplishments, having started at the company at 27. Another significant chapter of the company’s history was the heavy losses suffered in the terror attacks on September 11th, 2001, as the company had offices located in the World Trade Center. The company’s future was uncertain through the tragic and challenging weeks and months after the disaster. Ms. Fremura’s steadfast leadership and innovative spirit guided her team through the recovery period and into abundant success in the subsequent decades.
In the immediate future, Ms. Fremura intends to continue growing Shipping Services Italia. Building on the principles that guided the company through enormous transitions in the shipping industry, she hopes that her son will follow in her footsteps and transition from employee to owner one day.
