In addition, she is the principal and owner of MC Ridge Associates Inc., a position she has held since 2013. Her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to her craft have driven the success of her own company. Before her current roles she was a senior project manager at Works-in-Progress Associates from 2015 to 2020 and a project manager at MTA Bridges and Tunnels from 2013 to 2015. She also held project management roles at MVG Construction Inc. from 2012 to 2013 and Ashnu International Inc. from 2010 to 2012. She began her professional journey with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Minia University in Egypt in 2010. She furthered her education with coursework in business administration and project management at Keller Graduate School of Management, DeVry University. Additionally, she earned her professional engineer (PE) certification in 2023.
Ms. Wahba became involved in the construction industry after moving to New York from Egypt, where she initially worked at Dunkin’ Donuts. Her break came when a regular customer, who owned a construction company, offered her a job. She quickly progressed from picking up drawings and specifications to becoming a site superintendent and project manager. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish her own construction company, and she worked at MTA Bridges and Tunnels to gain more experience and certifications for her company.
Ms. Wahba’s career accomplishments are complemented by her civic engagement, including volunteer work at the YMCA in Egypt and her local church. Her dedication to the construction industry and her professional growth have earned her the Young Professional Achievement Award for Excellence in Project Management from the Women Builders Council. She attributes her success to the unwavering support of her husband and her father, who have been instrumental in her journey. A highlight of her career is obtaining her PE license while on maternity leave. Looking ahead, she plans to expand her company’s operations and increase the number of employees. Her advice to aspiring professionals is to break down closed doors, make their presence noteworthy, and demonstrate their capabilities. She emphasizes the importance of hard work and perseverance, drawing inspiration from her father’s advice to make one’s presence known and to always strive for excellence.
