Mr. Adams’ career also includes significant roles in the public sector. From 2008 to 2015, he served as an investigations coordinator at the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, where he played a crucial role in ensuring security and safety. Prior to that, he was a staff assistant for Congressman Donald Young from 2004 to 2007, gaining valuable experience in governmental operations. Additionally, he held an impressive two-decade tenure with the U.S. Army, serving as a staff sergeant from 1984 to 2004.
Mr. Adams has been recognized for his contributions and service with several notable awards. In 2015, he received the Award for Contribution from a local church in Florida for his mission work in Haiti. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People also honored him with the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Award.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Adams is dedicated to civic engagement. He donates personal hygiene products to local homeless shelters and churches’ foreign missions to support those in need. He is also actively a member of organizations such as the Freemasons and Magellan.
Mr. Adams attributes the success of his business to the increased awareness of personal hygiene and a heightened focus on self-care during the pandemic. This period served as a catalyst for people to take their health and well-being more seriously, significantly contributing to the growth of his business. The idea for The RestRoom Kit® came from a colleague of his wife, who had invented the innovative product. Recognizing its market potential, Mr. Adams dedicated himself to supporting the growth of TimeAway LLC from its earliest stages. His hard work and commitment led to his role as managing partner, where he continues to drive the company’s success.
