His efforts have been focused on addressing database outages comprehensively, leveraging his expertise in cybersecurity and pioneering cloud convergence to offer innovative solutions. Mr. Rao’s career began in 1985 as a systems engineer for CAE Inc., followed by roles at Nortel Networks Ltd., Schlumberger Smart Card and Payment Terminals and USIS America Inc., where he held various managerial and executive positions. He also co-founded and served as the chief operating officer and board member for HumaniTV Inc. from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, he has been involved in investment strategies, strategic business advising, and managing partnerships for various companies, showcasing his diverse skill set and business acumen. In addition to his professional achievements, he holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Concordia University, Canada, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering with a focus on telecommunications from the same institution. He is also a certified professional engineer.
Looking ahead, Mr. Rao aims to create a subscription model for Verge Technologies Inc.’s database platform as a service. He is also leading collaborations with Fortune 100 technology companies and major USA banks, with plans for further partnerships in the future. He is committed to advocating for a shift from STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) in the federal education system, believing that incorporating arts and music into the curriculum can foster innovation and creativity. Looking ahead, Mr. Rao plans to establish a High Touch Foundation to support global collaborative nonprofit organizations, benefit corporations and impact corporations in creating sustainable business models. His ultimate goal is to create a truly equitable global marketplace where all people can participate and thrive.
