Utilizing a mindset that prioritizes customer service, Mr. Meyer was initially determined to modernize each location for Ewing Oil LLC, upgrading lighting fixtures, rebuilding the checkout area and coffee bar, adding fresh new designs to the outdated interior facades, and remerchandise the store to encourage advantageous shopping habits. He has also advocated for refreshing products in the stores, which helps vendors introduce fresh items to their marketplace while giving customers new reasons to return.
Mr. Meyer previously served at the L.I.S.T.E.N. Center in Lakota, North Dakota, where he worked as a site manager for L.I.S.T.E.N. Gaming between 2010 and 2020. To support his professional ambitions, he pursued higher education at Northland Community and Technical College during this time, from which he earned an associate’s degree in sales, marketing and management in 2011. Mr. Meyer subsequently concluded his formal academic studies at The University of North Dakota, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance in 2015.
Mr. Meyer began his career as an employee for a local grocery store, through which he garnered valuable merchandising experience and basic business administration knowledge over the course of eight years while simultaneously handling the requirements of high school and college. Over the course of this tenure, he was personally mentored by the management team, which enabled him to become a nighttime supervisor and class manager at the aforementioned store by the age of 17. Moreover, Mr. Meyer diversified his interests and applied his administrative skills to a number of other industries, including his work as a blackjack dealer, photographer, disc jockey, and bowling business co-owner prior to his present role.
Outside of his primary responsibilities within the field, Mr. Meyer has participated in numerous additional endeavors. An avid bowling enthusiast, he has contributed to the North Dakota United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Board of Directors as a member representing the Grand Forks’ chapter. He has likewise been active as the president of the Greater Grand Forks USBC Association. Furthermore, Mr. Meyer remains affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce for East Grand Forks & Grand Forks.
Mr. Meyer has attributed his success to the stellar work ethic instilled within him by his strict mother. He also cites his care for his work as well as his commitment to ensuring the best conditions for those with whom he works as the foundation of his professional accomplishments. Among his proudest professional achievements, he fondly recalls scaling Ewing Oil from a cash-broke business in disrepair to a popular chain with more than $1 million in profit in under one calendar year. Looking toward the future, Mr. Meyer hopes to expand Ewing Oil LLC from four locations to 10 stores.
