His leadership journey began at Alstom Power, where he held key positions, including lead technical field advisor, mechanical manager, and site manager from 2001 to 2010. Before this, he served as general foreman mechanical at TIC The Industrial Company and gained foundational experience at Lexicon Construction in 2000. Outside of his professional roles, he is an entrepreneur, overseeing an automotive repair shop established in 2021 and Diamond S Ranch in Texas since 2004. His military service includes achieving the rank of staff sergeant in airborne infantry and instructing at the U.S. Army Airborne School.

He was recognized as Instructor of the Year at the U.S. Army Airborne School in 1994 and received the Outage of the Year award at Alstom Power. He was also nominated for the Innovations of the Year Award at Alstom Power in Paris, France. His military service has been marked by numerous honors, including the Meritorious Service Medal, four Army Commendation Medals, six Achievement Medals, and four Good Conduct Medals. He holds the Master Parachutist Badge and IV Airborne Brigade from Argentina, as well as the German Bronze Star Jump Wings. Additionally, he achieved the distinction of Distinguished Honor Graduate from the basic non-commissioned officer course. Laying a solid foundation for his future success, he pursued an education at North East Texas Community College, graduating with a certification in criminal justice in 1999. He continued his academic efforts with coursework at the Police Academy, focusing on law enforcement training. He furthered his educational pursuits with coursework in engineering, enhancing his knowledge in technical fields. He concluded his formal education with the completion of the basic non-commissioned officer course, a graduate-level military training program.
