Her prior roles include associate broker at Coldwell Banker from 2000 to 2007 and Warburg Realty from 2006 to 2007, as well as working as a receptionist for the Fourth Naval District.
Since 2010, Ms. Foxworth has served as vice president of the Harlem Tourism Board, which aims to elevate tourism as a key driver of Harlem’s economic development by showcasing the neighborhood’s culture, arts, entertainment, dining, sporting events, and shopping attractions. She also sponsors the Harlem Skyscraper Cycling Classic, a renowned community event focused on bicycle racing and youth safety programs, and Women in the Black, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and supporting women entrepreneurs, particularly women of color. Additionally, she serves as a senior advisor for the Harlem Business Alliance, a regent at St. John the Divine, and is a member of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI-USA) and the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce. In recognition of her impressive undertakings, she was featured in Harlem News’ Women’s History Month publication. She also became the first African American in 72 years to serve as president of FIABCI-USA and was awarded the prestigious FIABCI Medal of Honor.
Reflecting on her career path, Ms. Foxworth laid a solid foundation for her future, earning a Bachelor of Arts in civil engineering from Drexel University. However, she followed her passion to become a flight attendant before opening her own boutique. She then established two art galleries in Manhattan and a skincare line. Seeking out new opportunities, she sought out a career in real estate, eventually opening Foxworth Realty. She attributes her success in real estate to treating all clients equally, regardless of property value or representation. She prides herself on fairness, ensuring all agents involved have the necessary information and resources. Additionally, she offers a free consultation with a renovation or demolition specialist to her clients throughout New York State.
In the coming years, Ms. Foxworth aspires to publish a book she is working on about her life, having taken the first steps in the process. While retirement is on the horizon, she plans to concentrate solely on commercial real estate, with the goal of managing larger commercial properties and expanding her influence in real estate. She also wants to focus on consulting and affordable housing initiatives through her involvement with organizations like FIABCI and partnerships with UN-Habitat. Ultimately, she wants to make a positive impact in the community, particularly in supporting minority communities such as the Vietnamese and Korean populations, with whom she works closely in property management and rentals.
