For over thirty years, Mr. Chan has distinguished himself in the finance and technology industries, specializing in commercial banking, telecom, technology, management, venture capital, and startups. Currently serving as the president of Hybrid AI Corporation since 2022, he is responsible for raising funds, making strategic plans, forming alliances, recruiting and managing staff, and executing initiatives that enhance income and overall operations.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Chan was the president of Renewables Development Corporation, Asia Pacific, in Ohio from 2019 to 2020, chief investment officer at SR Investments in Guangzhou, China, from 2016 to 2017, a wireless solutions architect at PNG Telecommunications Inc. from 2013 to 2016, and managing partner at Virgo, Leo & Partners from 2008 to 2013. Earlier positions include wireless solutions architect at PNG Telecommunications Inc. from 2006 to 2008, director of business development at Hawaiian Telcom from 2005 to 2006, and senior product manager at Cincinnati Bell from 2001 to 2005. Additionally, he served as an executive assistant to the general manager at China Unicom Joint Ventures from 1996 to 1999, senior credit officer at Bank of China from 1994 to 1996, and a credit assistant at Societe Generale from 1993 to 1994.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Chan laid a solid foundation for his future success by pursuing an education at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, where he earned a diploma in international business in 1994. He continued his academic efforts at Sciences Po, completing the Asia-Europe Program in Asia-Europe economics in 1999 and becoming a Master of Business Administration candidate at HEC Paris the same year. He went on to earn a Master of Business Administration in information systems and marketing from the University of Cincinnati in 2001, followed by coursework in business analytics at Harvard Business School from 2022 to 2023. He is also multi-lingual, speaking Mandarin, Cantonese, English, French, and Japanese, and authored “The Power of Capital,” published by China Legal Publishing House in 2012.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Chan has maintained his involvement in various civic and professional organizations. He has served as the executive director of the Asia Chamber of America in Cincinnati, Ohio, since 2017 and worked as a multilingual interpreter for the Cincinnati Chinese Church from 2003 to 2008. His dedication to community service has earned him recognition as a major Community Contributor in Hamilton County, Ohio. He has also been associated with the Greater Cincinnati Chinese Chamber of Commerce, where he has served as executive director since 2006 and vice president. He is also a long-standing member of the American Society for Quality and the Project Management Institute, with over 20 years of membership in both organizations and has made significant contributions to India and pandemic efforts. In light of his undertakings, he was named a Major Community Contributor in Hamilton County, Ohio.
Reflecting on his career, one highlight that stands out for Mr. Chan is having over a dozen people from Harvard Business School join his team, leading to the creation of a robust group of experts in artificial intelligence, culminating in the establishment of the Hybrid AI Corporation. He attributes his success to his ability to understand how the world functions, his role within it, and how he can continue to make meaningful contributions and inspire others. In the coming years, she aspires to drive his company to reach new milestones, reach further success, and increase awareness of the challenges associated with machine and human interfaces.
