He currently serves as the managing partner of Retirement Business Strategies, a role he has held since 2019. Additionally, he has been a wealth advisor at KeyAMS since 1995. Mr. Barol has made significant contributions as an author, having written four books and actively working on three series. His first series, “Notes from the Trail,” is an account of two young men hiking the Appalachian Trail, depicting their adventures, confrontations with moose, and the evolution of their relationship. His financial series, focused on providing comprehensive financial analysis and advice aimed at optimizing economic success rather than just offering specific stock recommendations, starts with “Or Get Sick Along the Way: Avoid Financial Devastation through Critical, Chronic, or Terminal Illness,” and two more volumes are in progress. His third focuses on the Middle East, with “Dema: A New Hope,” which he co-authored with an Arab Muslim woman, explores the truth about Israel, and the second book, “The Development of Egyptian Nationalism,” is currently in the works.

Mr. Barol has dedicated his time to civic engagement through various roles. Since 2021, he has served as a board member and treasurer for the Traces of Lattimore Community Association and has been a board member of the TOLCA Board since 2020. From 2011 to 2014, he was a board member for the Philadelphia Region of the American Association for Ben Gurion University. He served on the Financial Advisors Committee for the American Associates of Technion University from 2002 to 2005. His involvement with the United Cerebral Palsy Association includes serving as treasurer and board member from 1994 to 2001 and as a board member and treasurer from 1996 to 2004. Additionally, he has experience as a staff member for Congressman Bob Borski and has volunteered for numerous political campaigns.

Mr. Barol laid a solid educational foundation with a Bachelor of Arts in political and social thought from the University of Virginia in 1979. Following this, he interned with Mayor Koch at the New York City Department of Sanitation in 1983. He then earned his Master of Public Policy in finance, transportation, and management from Harvard University in 1984. He has also earned several professional certifications from The American College of Financial Services, including Behavioral Financial Advisor from think2perform, Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Chartered Life Underwriter.

Looking to the future, Mr. Barol is focused on expanding his wealth planning practice into a concierge service model. He aims to deepen client relationships and position himself as their most trusted advisor. To achieve this, he plans to shift from a reactive approach to a more proactive one, anticipating and addressing client needs before they become urgent. This transition is designed to enhance the overall quality and consistency of his advisory role, moving away from ad hoc problem-solving towards continuous and supportive client engagement.
