Paul P. Tracey II, owner, president, and chief executive officer at Innovative Technologies, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in cybersecurity and compliance.

With a decade and a half of experience to his credit, Mr. Tracey has excelled in the field of technology, with a focus on cybersecurity. He established his company Innovative Technologies in 2012, where he serves as owner, president, and chief executive officer. Innovative Technologies specializes in providing managed IT services and advanced cybersecurity solutions through compliance-as-a-service and virtual chief security officer services. These offerings enhance clients’ IT infrastructure security, compliance with regulatory standards, and strategic cybersecurity management. In leading the company, he oversees operations and liaisons with clients and prospects to discuss their risks. Additionally, he focuses on developing robust security and compliance programs to safeguard organizational operations and meet regulatory requirements. He also consults with other managed IT providers, helping them to establish effective compliance programs for their clients.

Mr. Tracey also recognized a significant education gap within the tech industry, particularly in cybersecurity, and found that crucial information was often overlooked in initial client meetings. This led him to see an opportunity to fill this void by providing accessible, foundational knowledge through his first book, “Delete the Hacker Playbook.” The book serves as a tool to demystify technical terminology and enhance understanding of cybersecurity risks among business owners to empower them to make informed decisions and engage more effectively with cybersecurity and technology providers in future discussions and planning sessions. In addition to his first book, he authored and co-author several other publications, including the Amazon bestseller “Compliance Made Easy,” “Cybercrimes Investigations,” “Cyber Storm,” “Why You Need a VPN for Your Next Trip,” “This Is Why You Need a VPN for Your Next Trip,” published in Forbes, “Staying Cyber Secure While Working from Home,” and “Why Your Customers Need to Adopt a HIPAA Mindset.” His other works include “How Paul Tracey Is Fighting Cybercrime by Building a Culture of Cyber Security Champions,” “How to Determine if You Need a VPN for Your Next Vacation,” “Maintaining Bad Money Habits Can Be Harmful to Your Finances Underestimating the Danger of Cybercrime,” and Amazon bestseller “Delete the Hacker Playbook.” He has also participated in distinguished panels alongside notable figures such as Robert Herjavec and addressed a panel for health and human resources.

Laying a solid foundation for his success, Mr. Tracey completed coursework in computer science in 1996 and earned an Associate of Science in network administration from SUNY Adirondack in 2009. Civically, he served as the chief technology officer for the Glens Falls Greenjackets Football Team Inc. from 2015 to 2020 and is a member of the Cybersecurity Committee and National Small Business Association Leadership Council. He is also a donor to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Reflecting on his career, his trajectory changed when he became a father, which led him to pursue further education. Following graduation, he worked in information technology at various health care organizations and hospitals, where he found that large organizations faced an inability to protect themselves from cybercrime despite their access to substantial financial resources, and small businesses were more susceptible to attacks due to their lack of resources. This prompted him to establish his own practice committed to providing comprehensive cybersecurity solutions to small businesses. He takes great pride in becoming a best-selling author on Amazon and producing a documentary on cybercrime, available on the same platform.

Mr. Tracey attributes his success to his resilience, continuous effort to invest in self-education, and participation in accountability groups to further enhance his knowledge and monitor his progress. Looking ahead, he is committed to utilizing his knowledge and expertise to provide businesses with the necessary insights into the potential risks associated with non-compliance and the benefits of taking a proactive approach to regulatory compliance.
