Samantha “Sam” Van Riper, broker at Bear Paw Realty, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Business Owners for dedication, achievements, and leadership in real estate.
With nearly 15 years of experience, Ms. Van Riper has built a successful career in real estate, specializing in property management, sales, investor relations, assessment listing, relocation, consulting, and residential services. She has been a broker at Bear Paw Realty since 2019. Before that, she worked in sales and property management at Century 21 Bell Real Estate from 2011 to 2019. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Multiple Listing Service in Cheyenne, and the Cheyenne Board of Realtors. She also serves as vice chairman of the Parent Advisory Committee for the school district and represents her son’s elementary school on the CCRD Board. In recognition of her achievements, she was nominated as a Woman of Influence in Real Estate in 2023.
Laying a solid educational foundation, Ms. Van Riper earned an associate degree in business management, marketing, and related support services from Laramie County Community College (LCCC) in 2012 and obtained her real estate license in the State of Wyoming. Reflecting on her journey, after suffering an injury in 2009, she faced a choice – accept $900 per month in social security disability or a $30,000 grant to pursue a degree. She chose to pursue the degree from LCCC, and with a few rental properties of her own, she began her career in sales and joined Century 21 in 2011. Later, she transitioned to the property management division, helping to expand their business to 300 doors. Eventually, she decided to venture out on her own, taking great pride in establishing her own real estate business and assisting many people along the way. She is proud of the opportunities she has created for herself in the real estate field and enjoys collaborating with like-minded individuals.
Ms. Van Riper attributes her success to the unwavering support of her family and friends. Looking ahead, she is committed to continuing her work and taking care of those who care for others. She aims to establish a solid foundation for her children, ensuring their safety and well-being. Additionally, she is dedicated to improving school conditions to keep all children safe. She also hopes to mentor young individuals in real estate and leasing, preparing them for future opportunities in the field. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities, gardening, and home improvement projects.
